‘You are my cup of tea’ Valentines

I allowed mysef a little shopping trip  for some discounted dies from Sizzix….. huge discounts, what else can I say? This cup die was one of my purchases(Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die – Tea Cup, 3-D)

This is also my entry for the  Simon Says Stamp and Show Anything But a Card! Challenge

In Germany, when I was a child, relatives used to give us ‘Sammeltassen’ as a present.  A set of Cup, Saucer and Plate. They all had individual designs, hence the phrase which literally means ‘collection of cups’. Never quite understood what a 10 year old child is supposed to do with a collection of odd cups and plates. On birthdays and special occasions, my mum used to set the table with them in the afternoon for coffee and cake and of course they all broke eventually.  Now I quite like the idea of a collection of pretty cups and am hankering after these sets from PiP Studio Aren’t they gorgeous? Item on my embossing ‘to do’ list: Get in touch with my inner PiP Studio designer and create paper versions of their fabulous designs.

Then I heat embossed the background with WOW Pastel Pink regular. When that has cooled I swiped my ink pad over the raised areas and embossed them with Primary Apple red extra fine. This gives the cup a lovely texture and the feel of porcelain.

Have a look at the new WOW Embossing blog to see what the other design team members came up with

What a delightful Valentine greeting! Very unique and clever. Love the pretty pink and red embossing technique you used! Thanks so much for sharing your art with us this week at Simon Says Stamp and Show!
